When La La Anthony founded Inala in 2020, the mission was centered on a singular truth: hair health is the absolute foundation of beauty. The brand launched with its signature Rice Water Complex, a potent, heritage-inspired formula rooted in ancient ritual. Our challenge was to transform this singular, high-performance hero product into a comprehensive restorative lifestyle brand that maintained its clinical integrity while scaling within the competitive luxury haircare landscape.
We developed a strategic framework centered on balanced restoration. By positioning Inala at the intersection of traditional hair rituals and modern dermatological science, we elevated the narrative beyond celebrity association, establishing the brand as an authority. We focused on the Rice Water Complex as the brand’s “North Star,” creating a scalable visual and verbal language that allowed for a seamless transition from a single SKU to a multi-category treatment line.
Packaging
Skaggs Creative redesigned Inala’s packaging, delivering a sleek, playful interface as part of the updated brand look. We redesigned their color palette, updated their typefaces, and created a pattern based on their logo: a distinctive “i” emerging from a stylized lotus, symbolizing purity, strength, and rebirth. The logo is both easily recognizable and emblematic of the brand’s virtues.
Website
Following our work to identify Inala’s brand and packaging, Skaggs designed Inala’s website to align with its newly established aesthetic goals. The website is instantly welcoming and playful, with clear descriptions and pleasing still and video images of different types of healthy, beautiful hair. Skaggs also designed their Amazon store using the same components.
Digital Marketing
Serving also as Inala’s digital marketing agency, Skaggs created weekly emailers, art-directed the digital agency, and provided image guidelines. We also shot all product photography for the home page banners and updated them monthly. In addition, we created all retail pitch decks and retail manuals.
Amazon A+ Content
Finally, Skaggs Creative extended Inala’s brand ecosystem into Amazon A+ Content, translating the refined brand story, inclusive messaging, and visual system into high-impact, conversion-focused modules. From educational callouts that spotlight the Rice Water Complex to imagery that celebrates all hair types and textures, the A+ content reinforces Inala’s balance of health and beauty while elevating the brand’s presence on the Amazon marketplace.
