Rarely does a brand arrive with a decade of R&D already in its DNA. UNICOSMETICS began in a makeshift laboratory, a playroom actually, in Monaco, when ten year old Sophia Zweegers had a big dream. By the time she approached Skaggs at thirteen, her vision was clear: a beauty brand that bridges the gap between Gen Z energy and uncompromising European beauty standards. Our task was to take this “lab-to-launch” passion project and transform it into an actual brand.

Skaggs served as both creative lead and technical incubator, overseeing a comprehensive brand build from formulation to custom packaging. Branding a prodigy requires a delicate balance of preserving the authentic, disruptive spirit of a young founder while establishing the authority needed to compete in the saturated global beauty market. We leaned into Sophia’s Dutch-Moroccan heritage and her commitment to modern, safe formulas to define her iconic line of lip glosses.
