Having developed its mechanical prosthetics line, Össur required a branding identity to clearly communicate its new sophisticated technology. Skaggs created the Bionic logo, and devised brand positioning and the product naming strategy. Skaggs went on to art direct three photoshoots on location in California for each of the prosthetics featured in their respective brochures: the RheoKnee, the PowerKnee, and the PropeoFoot. Skaggs also designed and wrote the accompanying brochures, which included detailed explanations of the functions and advantages of each prosthesis. Skaggs also created the Bionic ad campaigns as well as an elegant, multipurpose Bionic product box with informational inserts specifically tailored to each product. Finally, Skaggs designed the Össur Bionics website so that clients, businesses, and healthcare professionals could easily navigate and locate essential information.
